This <br />committee is scheduled to hold its first meeting on August 13, and to <br />complete its work by late October or early November. A facilitator, <br />external to the committee, will assist the group in carrying out its <br />charge within the prescribed timeframe. <br />Several informal proposals from potential facilitators have been <br />reviewed. Staff have recommended selection of Independent Opinion and <br />Research, Inc., of Wrightsville Beach, to perform this function, with <br />compensation under a proposed contract to be established at $55 per <br />hour, plus reasonable expenses. Independent Research assisted the <br />County with the 1988 bond referendum. The proposal for services from <br />Independent Research is attached. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The County Manager <br />Board approve selection of Independent <br />facilitator for the School Capital Neei <br />that the Chair be authorized to sign a <br />stipulated in this abstract and in the <br />review by the County Attorney. <br />recommends: that the <br />Opinion and Research as <br />3s Advisory Committee; and <br />contract, with elements <br />attached proposal, pending <br />
