2 + <br />Lots in the subdivision are approximately 1.4 acres in <br />size. <br />In both instances, the Board of Commissioners approved <br />the proposed house number assignments. At a subsequent <br />meeting in December, 1987, Roscoe Reeve, the Land <br />Records Manager, appeared before the Commissioners and <br />explained the desirability of a logical and sequential <br />numbering system, and its relationship to the provision <br />of emergency services and the GIS system. A copy of his <br />comments is provided as an attachment. <br />Approximately 240 residences along 23 subdivision roads <br />in the Stoneridge /Sedgefield Community will be affected. <br />The Stoneridge Subdivision consists of approximately 177 <br />lots which range in size from 1 to 4 acres. The <br />Sedgefield Subdivision consists of approximately 73 <br />lots, with an average lot size of approximately one <br />acre. The residences are located within the former Rural <br />Route 8 served by the Chapel Hill Post Office. <br />A Planning Board recommendation is not required <br />regarding the assignment of house and building numbers. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends approval of the proposed <br />house and buildinq numbers, followed by notification of <br />the Chapel Hill Postmaster, and <br />the N.C. Department of Transportation, as required by <br />G.S. 153A -240. <br />
