A <br />ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: MARVIN COLLINS <br />Planning Director nn <br />FROM: DAVE STANCIL, AICPPS <br />Comprehensive Planner II <br />DATE: July 19, 1991 <br />SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING PROCESS FOR WATERSHEDS <br />Following our conversation regarding a county public hearing for <br />any watershed classification requests, I have listed here the <br />actions necessary to have a County public hearing and still provide <br />comment to the EMC in its hearing process: <br />AUG 5 Watershed report and recommendations /alternatives to be <br />placed on August 26 public hearing advertisement (to be <br />approved by BOCC 8- 5 -91). <br />AUG 5 Watershed report with alternatives and Planning Board <br />recommendations presented to BOCC on 8 -5. BOCC to <br />authorize a representative to speak at 8 -15 EMC hearing <br />on issues of consensus before County August 26 hearing, <br />if any. <br />AUG 15 BOCC /Orange County representative speaks on certain <br />issues at EMC hearing, announces written comments on <br />classification /other issues to be submitted by 9- 30 -91? <br />AUG 26 County public hearing on watershed report/ <br />alternatives /recommendations. <br />SEPT 16 Planning Board comment? <br />SEPT 17 BOCC adopts written comments to be sent to EMC. <br />Please let me know if you have other ideas or thoughts. <br />xc: Gene Bell <br />Mary Scearbo <br />Emily Cameron <br />Carol Dixon <br />7 <br />
