Funds were included in the <br />budget to pay for a part time temporary position. <br />The Sheriff is requesting that this temporary part time position be <br />made permanent. This request is due to the difficulty in recruiting <br />and retaining high quality temporary personnel. No increase in <br />appropriation is requested. This position would be funded by the funds <br />included in the budget for the temporary position. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />The Manager recommends that a 1/2 time permanent position be approved <br />in the Sheriff's Department. <br />
