The extension will allow <br />the existing contract to continue for a two -month period until the <br />contract can be restructured. <br />BACKGROUND: The contract for Pediatric Clinic services was first executed in <br />July, 1983. The pediatric faculty person currently providing <br />medical services to the Adolescent Clinic will be leaving August <br />31, 1991. The Health Director and the Chair of Community <br />Pediatrics are negotiating a new agreement to restructure how <br />those medical services will be provided. <br />The attached agreement will authorize an extension of the existing <br />agreement without changing the terms. <br />Funds for this contract have been included in the approved 91 -92 <br />budget. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The County Manager recommends approval of the Contract <br />Extension and authorization for the Chair to sign on behalf <br />of the Board. <br />
