Kern Contractors, Greensboro <br />Base bid $1,568,000; <br />Alternate (Flemish bond brick) 32,000 <br />PLUMBING: INDICOR; Greensboro; $47,900 <br />MECHANICAL: Lee Air Conditioners, Durham; $159,136; <br />ELECTRICAL: Quality Electric, Durham; $158,595 <br />Total all bids $1,965,631 <br />It is anticipated that the bid award and contract approval <br />will appear on the Commissioner's agenda for June 25, with <br />construction to commence by the latter part of July. <br />A 365 day construction time is anticipated for the new <br />building, with an additional eighty days anticipated for the <br />renovation of the existing Tax and Records Building. <br />
