Main Street - Carrboro, NC 27510 <br />Telephone No: 933 -2151 <br />It is agreed that the Basic Provisions will guide our working relation- <br />ship and that the Memorandum of Understanding may be amended, in <br />writing, at any time with the agreement of both _agencies. I will be <br />reviewed annually to permit needed changes. <br />BASIC PROVISIONS <br />A. The O. C. Literacy Program will rovide: <br />1. Office space and all utilities for one part -time (20 hrs /wk) <br />RSVP Program Coordinator (County Employee) to be jointly <br />supervised by the RSVP Director and the Literacy Council <br />Director <br />2. Orientation and Training for ESL (RSVP) volunteers (includes <br />needed materials) <br />3. Space for volunteers to tutor clients on occasional basis <br />4. Client list <br />5. Publicity of the program to general clients and volunteers <br />B. The O. C. Retired Senior Volunteer Program will p rovide: <br />1. Salary /benefits for one part -time RSVP Program Coordinator (20 <br />hrs /wk) and supervision by the RSVP Director <br />2. Hire a program coordinator who will recruit volunteers (at <br />least the number specified in the special emphasis grant -13) <br />for the English as a Second Language (ESL) program and the <br />RASTAT (Read A Story To A Tot) Program. Coordinator may also <br />help to generate client list. Program progress reports will be <br />required for one year to be submitted to ACTION separately from <br />the regular RSVP Progress reports. The Coordinator will be <br />responsible for the required reports. <br />3. Provide telephone installation and monthly fee for part -time <br />coordinator <br />
