This is an annualized grant to be awarded <br />on a continued yearly basis. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The award may increase to the original grant amount of $9,995. This <br />was a competitive grant for the purpose of establishing family <br />literacy programs (English as a Second Language and RASTAT (Read A <br />Story To A Tot)]. An additional $1,181 in administrative <br />augmentation funds were also awarded to the original federal grant <br />(annualized). <br />RECOMMENDATION($): <br />The Manager recommends approval of RSVP special emphasis grant and <br />authorize chair to sign Notice of Grant Award. <br />FN:RPGRANT\ABSTAUG2.DOC <br />
