Approximately <br />$250,000 will be requested in this application which will be <br />submit prior to the July 31, 1991 deadline. Funds will be <br />used to assist a local non - profit social service agency, <br />Orange Congregations in Mission, to construct a 35 unit <br />multi - family rental development in the Town of Hillsborough <br />known as Whitted Forest. <br />The County and the Mayor of the Town of Hilllsborough <br />are in full support of this proposed application as are many <br />local non - profit service agencies. The creation of these new <br />rental units will assist the County in addressing affordable <br />rental housing needs in Northern Orange County. <br />County staff has been discussing this project with your <br />staff over the last few weeks and we appreciate the <br />assistance being provided by your office. <br />Should you need additional information regarding the <br />proposed Housing Development Grant Application, do not <br />hesitate to contact Tara L.
