3
(11) On May 21, 1991, the Board of Commissioners approved a transfer
of $40,000 from the Section S Reserve Fund to the Rencher Street
Community Development Fund. This transfer will allow all
families in the Rencher Street area to be connected to the
water and sewer mains. The attached grant project ordinance
will complete this transfer.
(12) Counties are required by North Carolina General Statute to
reserve money each year for future revaluations. The attached
technical budget amendment will complete the transfer of $17,000
from the Tax Assessor's departmental budget to the Revaluation
reserve account in the Revaluation Fund.
(13) On March 20, 1991, the Board of Commissioners approved an
agreement with the Center for Early Adolescence to provide
consultation services for the Opportunities for Families Fund
(OFF) grant. The cost of these services will be off --set by the
receipt of a grant from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation.
RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of
Commissioners adopt the proposed budget ordinance amendments' and
Community Development Grant Project ordinance.
