CONTRACT APPROVAL - INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION <br />Pam Jones presented for the Board's consideration an <br />agreement among the University, the County, the Town of Carrboro and <br />the Town of Chapel Hill to conduct an Independence Day Celebration at <br />Kenan Stadium on July 4, 1991 <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Chair <br />Carey, to approve and authorize the Chair to sign the proposed agreement <br />between the University, the County, the Town of Carrboro and the Town <br />of Chapel Hill. <br />VOTE: AYE - Commissioners Carey, Gordon, Insko and Willhoit <br />NAY - Commissioner Halkiotis <br />E. CONTRACT APPROVAL - SOUTHERN INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS INC. <br />Pam Jones presented and asked that the Board consider <br />entering into an agreement with the Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro <br />and Southern International Fireworks, Inc. to provide a fireworks <br />display on July 4, 1991. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by <br />Commissioner Insko to approve and authorize the Chair to sign a contract <br />with Southern International Fireworks, Inc. for an amount not to exceed <br />$3,000. <br />VOTE: AYE - Commissioners Carey, Willhoit, Insko and Gordon <br />NAY - Commissioner Halkiotis <br />F. FIREWORKS PERMIT - INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION <br />Pam Jones asked that the Board consider approving a fireworks <br />permit for the Independence Day Celebration to be held at Kenan Stadium <br />on July 4, 1991. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Insko, seconded by Commissioner <br />Willhoit, to approve and authorize the Chair to sign a fireworks permit <br />for the Independence Day Celebration at Kenan Stadium. <br />VOTE: AYES: Commissioners Carey, Willhoit, Insko and Gordon <br />NAYS: Commissioner Halkiotis <br />G.
