Kern Contractor; Greensboro; <br />Base bid $1,568,000 <br />Alternate 1 (Flemish bond brick) 32,000 <br />Total General Contract $1,600,000 <br />Electrical (total of 5 bidders): <br />Quality Electric; Durham; 158,595 <br />HVAC (total of 6 bidders): <br />Lee Air Conditioners; Durham 159,136 <br />Plumbing (total of 3 bidders) <br />Indicor, Inc; Greensboro; 47,900 <br />Total all contracts $1,965,631 <br />One single prime bid was submitted by C.T. Wilson Construction Company <br />for a total of $2,089,706. <br />Of the four lowest responsible bidders, three have met the MBE <br />participation goal of 10 %. Quality Electric anticipates 29t; both C.J. <br />Kern and Lee Air Conditioning estimate a 10* participation rate. <br />
