2 <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the following, contingent <br />upon action by the General Assembly to permit counties to impose an <br />additional one -half cent sales tax: <br />(1) Set a date for a public hearing on the matter of the <br />additional one -half cent sales tax; <br />(2) Set a date for a special meeting to be held in conjunction <br />with the public hearing; <br />(3) After the public hearing, enact a resolution imposing the <br />additional sales tax in Orange County. <br />
