ADDITIONAL ONE -HALF CENT SALES TAX <br />This presentation was made by John Link. This item was <br />presented to consider setting a public hearing on the question of <br />enacting a resolution imposing an additional one -half cent local option <br />sales tax in orange County. It was decided that if the legislature <br />approves a 1/2 cent sales tax for counties that the Chair will set a <br />special meeting for a public hearing. <br />C. BID AWARD CONTRACT APPROVAL - GOVERNMENT SERVICES CENTER <br />BUILDING <br />This presentation was made by Pam Jones. This item was <br />presented to consider awarding a bid for the construction of the <br />Government Services Building and for the renovation of the existing Tax <br />and Records Building. (A copy of all the bids received is attached to <br />these minutes on pages and thus made a part of these minutes <br />by reference) . <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br />Commissioner Gordon, to award and authorize the Chair to sign the <br />contracts, contingent upon attorney and staff review, for the Government <br />Services Building Project as follows: <br />C.J.
