17 <br />will coordinate closely with programs of Orange County's Health Department. <br />All males will have access to the county's screening program. In Northern <br />Orange County, males will be treated at the Comprehensive Adolescent <br />Health Clinic. In Southern Orange, males can go to the adolescent clinic at <br />N.C. Memorial Hospital, to Orange - Chatham Comprehensive Health Service <br />or to private practices in Chapel Hill. For mental health intervention, males <br />will be treated by the Orange - Person - Chatham Mental Health Center. At a <br />minimum, the case advocate will schedule an annual physical for eligible <br />males through the Early Periodic Screening Detection and Treatment (EPSDT) <br />program. <br />Transportation <br />Accessible transportation with flexible hours will be critical to the consistent <br />involvement of participants. Through a contractual arrangement, the <br />Coordinated Area Transit (CAT) system of Orange County will provide the <br />OFF program with a van and a driver that will be scheduled W meet the <br />needs of the OFF participants <br />Child Care <br />Q:What would you like for your child to say about you when he or she is grown? <br />A:'"That I was a good father," (adolescent father) <br />If the male participant is a father, most will be non - custodial parents. <br />Traditionally, as non - custodial parents, the fathers have been treated in a <br />punitive fashion. One incentive of the OFF program will involve the <br />postponement of child support payments. On a case -by -case basis, the Orange <br />County Court System has agreed to consider postponing all child support <br />payments by fathers who are involved in the job training portion of the OFF <br />program. <br />If the father is the custodial parent, the OFF program will help him make the <br />appropriate choice for day care placement.
