How will your plan of action reflect an. innovative and comprehensive approach which <br />addresses holistically the needs of the poor? <br />Q:What would you like for your child to say about you when he or she is grown? <br />A: "Say that I was always there when he needed me and I was a good provider." <br />(adolescent father) <br />The Orange County program is unique in its emphasis on providing a <br />complete set of services for all family members. The program will address the <br />motivational issues that can act as a barrier in breaking the cycle of poverty as <br />well. <br />The case advocates and mentors will identify the complete needs of the <br />family and will work with a variety of county services to. help meet those <br />needs. Where there are gaps in those services, the mentors and the case <br />advocates will provide a strong incentive for seeking change in the way <br />County services are delivered. <br />6/19/91 The Orange County OFF Draft TWO Proposal 6 <br />
