The deadline
for submitting this grant is August 1, 1991. Orange County's proposal
is based on the conviction that the key to breaking the cycle of poverty
is to improve the opportunities for young males to lead productive and
economically self- supporting lives. The County Commissioners made
several suggestions that will be incorporated into the document. This
proposal will be reviewed several times before the August 1st deadline.
However, the strategies and major components will not be revised. The
Board will have an opportunity to review and comment on the final
proposal before it is submitted.
