necessary to cover this implementation will be included <br />in the recommended Fiscal Year 1991 -92 budget. <br />During the budget process, as indicated earlier, we <br />will be asking the Board of Commissioners to approve <br />the adoption of the Phase II Classification and Pay <br />Study changes as specified in Attachments 1 and 2, with <br />the classification and salary changes to be effective <br />July 8, 1991 except as otherwise provided for certain <br />Phase I restudies. <br />Phase III of this study is the Pay Equity Study. This <br />study will be county wide and will begin in the summer <br />of 1991. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board receive this <br />report for information only at this time. The Manager <br />further recommends that the Board formally approve the <br />Classification and Pay Study changes as an element of <br />the adopted 1991 -92 budget, when the Board completes <br />action on the budget in June. <br />5 <br />
