Fa <br />Chairman Carey announced that anyone who has indicated a desire <br />to speak to any of the items on the printed agenda will be recognized <br />at the appropriate time. <br />III. ITEMS FOR DECISION - CONSENT AGENDA <br />(Any item may be removed for separate consideration) <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br />Commissioner Willhoit to approve those items listed on the Consent <br />Agenda as stated below: <br />A. FOOD STAMP DIRECT MAIL ISSUANCE CONTRACT <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign the <br />Food Stamp Direct Mail Issuance Contract with Cost Containment, Inc. of <br />Raleigh. This contract is effective as of July 1, 1991 and the cost per <br />issuance is $ .55. <br />B. CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT ATTORNEY CONTRACT <br />The Board approved and authorized the Chair to sign a <br />renewal contract with Coleman, Bernholz, et al, for legal representation <br />for the Child Support Office. <br />VOTE ON THE CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />IV. RESOLUTIONSLPROCLAMATIONS <br />A. RESOLUTIONS OF APPRECIATION FOR SERVING ON THE COMMISSION <br />FOR WOMEN <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by <br />Commissioner Willhoit to approve the resolution as stated below for each <br />of the three being recognized, Ann Loeb, Miriam Saxon and Ann McPherson. <br />RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION <br />WHEREAS, Ann McPherson, Ann Loeb and Miriam Saxon have served <br />Orange County's Commission for Women in an exemplary <br />manner by serving as Chair of the Commission and <br />chairing numerous committees; and, <br />WHEREAS, Ann McPherson, Ann Loeb and Miriam Saxon have given <br />freely and generously of their time, talents and energy <br />for the improvement of the quality of life for all women <br />in Orange County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners, through its members Moses Carey, Jr., Alice <br />Gordon, Stephen Halkiotis, Verla Insko and Don willhoit; does <br />express its sincere appreciation to Ann McPherson, Ann Loeb and <br />Miriam Saxon for their efforts on behalf of the women of Orange <br />County. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />Chairman Carey read a prepared statement from Commissioner <br />Verla Insko in which she expressed her grateful appreciation to the <br />
