2 <br />On the recommendation of the Division of Water Resources and <br />the County Engineer, the Board of County Commissioners <br />allocated approximately $35,000 for construction of flow <br />measuring devices at each reservoir release point and for <br />upgrading the flow monitoring and recording equipment in the <br />stream monitoring gage at Hillsborough. Reimbursement of a <br />pro rata share of the construction costs were to be repaid to <br />the County by each of the other participants in the Agreement <br />by a formula agreed upon by all parties involved. <br />Construction of the flow monitoring devices was initially to <br />be complete during the low flow period expected to occur <br />during the summer of 1989. The dry weather and low flow did <br />not occur during 1989, and construction was delayed until the <br />summer of 1990. The summer of 1990 was dry and a substantial <br />portion of the construction was accomplished during that time. <br />The remaining elements of the construction project have been <br />scheduled to be completed during the summer of 1991. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Receive as information only. <br />
