a <br />3 <br />the public health, safety and welfare, the value of <br />contiguous property, and compliance with the general <br />plan will automatically be made. <br />The Planning Staff has considered these issues, and <br />feels that they are addressed through the recommended <br />standards. <br />At the May 28 public hearing, Commissioner Gordon <br />requested that consideration of the amendment be <br />continued until the June 3 Commissioners meeting. She <br />wished to question the County Attorney about his <br />concerns. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Staff recommends approval of the proposed <br />amendment with large day care homes being allowed on <br />public roads. At the conclusion of the Public <br />Hearing, this item should be referred to the Planning <br />Board. The Planning Board will make a recommendation <br />no sooner than their June 17 meeting. The Board of <br />Commissioners will consider this item for decision no <br />sooner than August 5, 1991. <br />
