M <br />F <br />2 <br />Fee for the fireworks display not to exceed $9,000; $3,000 per <br />locality. Exact fee for display contingent upon final selection of <br />fireworks following the June 1 test shoot. <br />Southern may cancel the display due to inclement weather; Southern <br />may be paid an amount not to exceed ten percent (10t) of the contract <br />amount in such case. <br />The County and the Towns are responsible for all permits, licenses <br />and approvals required. <br />The County and Towns shall be responsible for maintaining a "safe <br />zone" (500' in all directions) around the display area. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Manager recommends approval of the proposed contract <br />jointly with the Town of Chapel Hill and the Town of Carrboro with <br />southern International Fireworks International, Inc.; County share not <br />to exceed $3,000; and authorize the Chair to sign on behalf of the <br />Board. <br />
