0 t <br />4.3 - Permitted Use Table. Large day care homes would be <br />permitted by right in all zoning districts in which single - <br />family dwellings are permitted. These would include: <br />Rural Buffer <br />Agricultural - Residential <br />Residential -1 <br />Residential -2 <br />Residential -3 <br />Residential -4 <br />Residential -5 <br />Residential -8 <br />Residential -13 <br />Local Commercialr -1 <br />Neighborhood commercial -2 <br />Community Commercial -3 <br />Existing Commercial -5 <br />Office s Institutional <br />[The proposed amendment would allow large day care homes (6-- <br />15 children) as a use by right in all residential zoning <br />districts. Day care facilities with more than 15 children <br />would still be permitted in residential districts upon <br />approval of a Class B Special Use Permit. Day care <br />facilities, including large homes, located in commercial or <br />office districts, would also be required to obtain a Class B - <br />Special Use Permit.] <br />ARTICLE 6. APPLICATION OF DIMENSIONAL REQUIREMENTS <br />Proposed changes /new provisions are highlighted in bold. <br />6.27 LgLe DEC Care Homes <br />[while permitting large day care homes by right, development <br />standards are included to address the potential impacts of <br />such a use in a residential area. The standards are <br />incorporated into a new Article 6.27 and are almost identical <br />to those applicable to larger facilities. The principal <br />difference is that large day care homes would be subject to <br />administrative (staff) approval rather than that of a quasi - <br />judicial board.] <br />6.27.1 Site Plan Requirements <br />In addition to the information required by <br />Article 14.2, the following shall be submitted as <br />part of an application for site plan approval: <br />a) Evidence that the minimum requirements to <br />qualify for a State of North Carolina large <br />4day care home license have been satisfied. <br />b) A floor plan of the proposed large day care <br />home, showing the use and dimensions of each <br />room and the location of entrances and exits. <br />6.27.2 Standards For Evaluation <br />The following standards shall be used in deciding <br />on an application for site plan approval for the <br />use: <br />
