generally six to 15 children. Article 4 would be amended to <br />add large day care homes as a permitted use in all zoning <br />districts where single - family homes are permitted. Article 6 <br />would be amended to require site plan approval for large day <br />care homes and provide standards for evaluating the site plan. <br />Article 14 would be amended to permit a day care operator or <br />citizen to prepare their own site plan for a large day care <br />home. <br />SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS TEXT AMENDMENTS <br />The proposed amendment to the Orange County Subdivision <br />Regulations is as follows: <br />1. Administrative Approval of Expired Subdivision Plats <br />Under the proposal, Section III -D -2 -f would be added to allow <br />the Planning Director to re- approve an expired subdivision` <br />plat, provided the design and conditions of approval were in <br />compliance with zoning and subdivision regulations existing at <br />the time of the request. The subdivision would still be <br />subject to agency review, and the request for re- approval must <br />be made within one year of the expiration of the plat. Section <br />III -D -2 -g would be amended to permit only one such re- <br />approval. Subsequent requests for re- approval must be <br />presented to the Board of Commissioners for consideration. <br />All interested citizens are invited to attend this hearing and <br />be heard. Public comment will be received during the public <br />hearing. Following the close of the public hearing, only evidence <br />received in writing by the date of the Planning Board meeting <br />following the public hearing will be considered by the Board of <br />Commissioners for decision. <br />Changes may be made in the advertised proposals which reflect <br />debate, objections and discussion at the hearing. <br />Questions regarding the proposals may be directed to the <br />Orange County Planning Department located in the Planning & <br />Agricultural Center, 306F Revere Road, Hillsborough, North <br />Carolina.
