SAWYER
(1902.1972)
Dear Eddie:
This letter is in response to your May 15, 1991
letter concerning changes made to the proposed
amendment as the result of Ordinance Review Committee
and Planning Board review. Comments contained in my
May 10, 1991 letter still pertain. I still question
whether Large Day Care Homes should be permitted on
private roads and the staff analysis concerning the
impact of Large Day Care Homes still seems to me
flawed. Because small day care facilities (less than
six children) are not licensed by the State or
regulated by the Orange County Zoning Ordinance does
not mean the impact of a Large Day Care Home can be
computed by discounting the impact of the first five about
children in the day care home. Also, my
public input into Large Day Care Homes is not resolved
by eliminating any notice to property owners of an
application for a zoning permit for a Large Day Care
Home.
very truly yours,
.
