r <br />2 <br />We suggest that the Planning Committee be comprised of the following: <br />County Commissioner <br />Town of Chapel Hill Representative <br />A representative from the neighborhood in which the building is to <br />be constructed <br />County Manager, John Link <br />Assistant County Manager /Human Services, Albert Kittrell <br />County Engineer, Paul Thames <br />Purchasing & Central Services Director /Project Coordinator, Pam <br />Jones <br />ex officio members to include: <br />Marvin Collins, County Planning Director or his designee <br />Roger Walden, Chapel Hill Planning Director or his designee <br />We anticipate that the Requests for Proposal could be recieved during <br />July, 1991, which would allow the Board to consider contract approval <br />for an architect at their August 5, 1991 meeting. <br />Following initial meetings among the Architect, the Planning Committee <br />and County Departments with their respective Boards, the Board of <br />Commissioners will be brought up to date regarding a proposed project <br />completion timetable. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Reaffirm the planning process; and specifiy the <br />Board's representative to the Planning Committee. <br />SHB5691 <br />
