E:l <br />ongoing Chapel Hill- Carrboro schools have added a half -time staff <br />position for the student assistance programs in the middle <br />schools. <br />Completed orange County Schools and the County Department of Social <br />Services developed a protocol, signed in January 1990, <br />which permits Social Services to counsel /investigate <br />student /family problems when necessary and appropriate. <br />ongoing Chapel Hill- Carrboro._City.Schools and.the County <br />Department of Social Services have been meeting to develop <br />a similar protocol by May 1991. <br />Page 8 <br />
