i <br />Approved June 25, 1991 <br />1 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 6, 1991 <br />The Board of Equalization and Review met at 7:00 p.m. in the <br />Courtroom of the Old County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Moses Carey, Jr., Vice - -Chair <br />Stephen H. Halkiotis, Commissioners Alice M. Gordon, Verla C. Insko and <br />Don Willhoit. <br />ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., and Clerk to the <br />Board Beverly A. Blythe. <br />BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br />Clerk to the Board Beverly Blythe gave the Oath of Office to the <br />five County Commissioners. They will serve as the Board of E & R for <br />1991. <br />Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. convened the meeting. There were no <br />questions and no citizens desired to speak. The meeting was adjourned. <br />The next meeting of the Board of E & R will be held at 5:30 on May 21. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner <br />Carey to go in Executive Session to consider the settlement of a claim <br />on behalf of Orange County and to consult with the County Attorney. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Halkiotis, seconded by Commissioner <br />Gordon to continue the Executive Session immediately following the <br />Regular Meeting and to reconvene into Regular Session at this time. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioner met in Regular Session <br />on May 6, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Old County <br />Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairman Moses Carey, Jr., Vice - <br />Chair Stephen H.
