It is the Board's intent to implement <br />such classification and pay system upon completion <br />and adoption of the Phase II Classification and Pay <br />Study now being conducted by MAI. The targeted <br />effective date toward which the County is working <br />is July 8, 1991. <br />It is our understanding that with the adoption of the <br />above Statement of Intent, the Office of State Personnel will <br />recommend to the State Personnel Commission at its June 6, <br />1991 meeting that the Commission approve Orange County's <br />substantial equivalency exemption as to classification and <br />compensation. <br />We thank you and your staff for working with us to <br />achieve a substantially equivalent personnel system in Orange <br />County. <br />YOU COUNT IN ORANGE COUNTY! 6) <br />
