N <br />VA <br />Constructing a permanent addition is preferable in the following ways: <br />(1) Keep all staff in same facility, no problems of proximity. <br />(2) It is permanent, not temporary space. <br />(3) Avoids sewer problems, taps into existing sewer. <br />(4) Little or no neighborhood impact. <br />The only disadvantage is that permanent construction is certainly more <br />expensive than a modular ($64 /sq.ft. as compared to $36 /sq.ft.) and it is <br />more time consuming. In a preliminary meeting with County officials, approval <br />in concept was given to us as well as an informal plan to consider funding <br />$20,000 towards this project. <br />Proceed with plan to build an addition to Northside Building #2 instead of <br />acquiring a modular, and complete the previously planned renovation. <br />3 <br />
