Additions to or modifications of policies, <br />objectives, principles or standards; <br />As previously mentioned, the applicants <br />believe that 1991 is an appropriate time to <br />begin long -term planning for the I -40 corridor <br />and have thus recommended that their land use <br />classification be re- assessed. Such a <br />reassessment might be a modification of prior <br />policy along Interstate 40, thus qualifying as <br />a principal amendment. <br />b. The creation of new activity nodes or <br />additions to existing activity nodes which <br />exceed ten (10) acres in land area; or <br />This proposed amendment would create <br />a new free - standing Commercial Transition <br />Activity Node for the 33 -acre site, along with <br />a like designation of Ten Year Transition to <br />implement the transition to a different <br />classification. As such, this amendment is a <br />principal amendment to the plan. <br />C. Proposals for new freestanding plan areas or <br />additions to existing areas that exceed one <br />hundred (100) acres in land area. <br />Although this-is a proposal for a freestanding <br />Plan area, the site is less than 100 acres. <br />3. Article 20.3.2 also requires the submission of the <br />following additional information: <br />a. A fully dimensioned map at.a scale of not less <br />than one hundred (100) feet to the inch <br />showing the land which would be covered by the <br />proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment, and a <br />legal description of the land; <br />Submitted. <br />b.
