C. Arts <br />Council. Grassroots Arts funds are appropriated by the N. C. State Legislature <br />according to county population, and channeled through the N. C. Arts Council <br />to Local Distributing Agents in each county. The full board of the Arts <br />Commission then reviews each application for funds and submits the grant <br />recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for approval. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): <br />Approve as presented. <br />
