C. <br />Department of Environment Health and Natural Resources <br />DEPARTMENT: HEALTH <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />13 -Page Contract <br />Federal Assurance Agreements <br />Local Health Department Budget Pages <br />PUBLIC HEARING: Yes X No <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />HEALTH DIRECTOR'S OFFICE X2412 <br />TELEPHONE NUMBER: <br />Hillsborough - 732 -8181 <br />Chapel Hill - 968 -4501 <br />Mebane - 327 -2031 <br />Durham - 688 -7331 <br />PURPOSE: The attached contract stipulates the State grant support in the <br />amount of three hundred sixty --five thousand, four hundred and six <br />dollars ($365,406.00), a 10% increase over the previous year, for <br />the following programs in FY 1991 -92: <br />General <br />Transfer of Escrow <br />AIDS Testing <br />HCFA- Influenza <br />Tuberculosis <br />Environmental Health <br />Child Health <br />Maternal Health <br />Family Planning <br />CSHS Orthopedic <br />Adult Health <br />Health Promotion <br />The above - mentioned programs, and associated revenue, have been <br />included in the proposed budget. <br />BACKGROUND: Each year the State contracts with the Health Department to render <br />specified, mandated services. The attached contract outlines the <br />terms and dollar amounts of grant support for each program <br />activity as well as local allocations and revenues which support <br />these mandated services. Minor changes in the contract terms are <br />acceptable and do not substantially alter the working <br />relationship. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve the contract, subject to the endorsement of the <br />County Attorney and County Purchasing Director, and <br />authorize the Chair to sign the contracts, assurances, and <br />budget pages. <br />
