The Board <br />of County Commissioners faces sometimes <br />difficult decisions in making and delaying <br />demand for payment when violations are not <br />corrected and in rescinding demand for <br />payment when violations are corrected. <br />The Board has asked the Administration to <br />prepare standards to assist it in making <br />fair and consistent decisions when delay- <br />ing and rescinding demand for payment of <br />civil penalties. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: The Administration recommends that the <br />Board of County Commissioners adopt stan- <br />dards to assist in decision- making in the <br />following areas. <br />1. Delaying making demands for payment of <br />civil penalties. <br />2. Rescinding demands for payment of civil <br />penalties. <br />1 <br />
