Box 81$1
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dear Mr. Carey:
3i 6
CB# 3120, Alumni Building
The University of North Carolina
Chapel Hill, N.C. 27599 -3120
I am pleased that the February 25th public hearing agenda includes considering
the establishment of the historic preservation commission ordinance. I plan to
attend this meeting to show my.support for the ordinance, which I hope will
also address archaeological sites -- historic and prehistoric - -as well as
standing structures.
.As I mentioned in my letter of July 23, I am very interested in serving on the
proposed commission and can offer the resources of our .labs regardless of the
makeup of the commission. Recently I have been working with Durham Co. in anl,
effort that seems similar to that entailed by the proposed Orange Co.
ordinance.
I look forward to hearing the discussions Monday night.
Sincerely,
C
H.
