Golf..driving and practice ranges are similar in nature _ <br />to golf courses which are permitted uses in AR and R -1' A4 <br />districts. They create little noise and minimum <br />impact. The proposed amendment will provide for a So <br />foot buffer around the perimeter of the property, <br />review by the Recreation and Parks Director and a <br />large amount of land to offset any adverse impact on <br />surrounding properties. <br />In their March 18, 1991 meeting, the Planning Board <br />recommended approval of the proposed amendment with <br />the stipulation that'lighting not be allowed and the <br />driving range would close at dusk. <br />TION: The Administration recommends approval as per the <br />Planning Board recommendation with further <br />clarification that the 50' buffer start at the <br />perimeter of the cleared area and is outside the <br />required dimensional area for the driving range. <br />
