RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT <br />WHEREAS, community colleges in North Carolina should <br />continue to provide the adult basic education and literacy <br />training needed to ensure that North Carolina adults gain the <br />skills, beyond reading and writing, which will qualify them <br />to enter technical, vocational, or college transfer programs <br />or succeed in the labor market; and <br />WHEREAS, the community college system should expand its <br />capacity for providing customized skills and supervisory <br />training for businesses; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Orange County <br />Board of Commissioners, in support of Durham Technical <br />Community College, Alamance Community College and Piedmont <br />Community College endorses their efforts to provide the <br />training resources most appropriate in meeting the needs of <br />our citizens. <br />Moses Carey, Jr., Cha <br />Stephen Halkiotis, Vice - Chair <br />Alice Gordon, Commissioner <br />Ver a Insko, Commissioner <br />VV <br />Don Willhoit, ommissioner <br />
