There would definitely be impacts on Eno River Coon <br />Club in that we hold four nationally advertised <br />U,K.0 wild coon hunts per year.and one N.K.C, hunt <br />once a month. During these hunts we have hunters <br />from other, counties and states. Also during these <br />hunts, there are no guns allowed nor are any coons <br />killed. We pay dues to the North Carolina Coon - <br />hunter Association which protects wildlife by paying <br />a 5500 reward for any person, turned in for killing <br />coon out of season. Y <br />S. Grange County and Alamance County are hosting the <br />N.C. State Championship Coon Hunt this year and the <br />added income of thousands of dollars would be wel- <br />comed by local businesses. The proposed changes <br />could greatly hinder this ac:tivity. K1nsw -on hosted <br />this event last year and could provide insight on <br />the proceeds they received. <br />If this new ordinance is passed it will be faced with heavy <br />opposition oy not only our own hunters but those of sur- <br />rounding counties.
