� r <br />i <br />�= <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR A COMMUNITY FIREWORKS <br />DISPLAY ON JULY 4, 1991 (91- 2 -11 /R- ) <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the <br />Council approves, and authorizes the Manager to enter into on <br />behalf of the Town, an agreement with the University of North <br />Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Town of Carrboro and Orange County <br />regarding public fireworks display on July 4, 1991. The terms of <br />the agreement shall be substantially consistent with the Manager's <br />report of January 28, 1991 on this matter. A copy of said report <br />shall be retained with the records of this meeting. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby authorizes the <br />temporary closing of Ridge Road between Manning Drive and Stadium <br />Drive on the night of July 4, 1991, to enable traffic and crowd <br />control in connection with a public fireworks display at Kenan <br />Stadium. The Town Manager is hereby authorized to determine, in <br />consultation the University and other involved parties, the <br />specific hours of this temporary street closing. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council expresses its appreciation <br />to the University for allowing the use of University facilities for <br />the July 4th fireworks and public attendance. <br />This the 11th day of February, 1991. <br />
