2 <br />The bids were analyzed as follows: <br />Single Prime Contract bid: $276,700 <br />Multiple Prime Contract bids: <br />General Contractor $210,400 <br />Plumbing 17,580 <br />HVAC ** * *33,800 <br />Electrical 26,435 <br />Total $288,215 <br />* *HVAC apparent low bidder based bid on incomplete set of plans and <br />ultimately withdrew their bid 'due to the obvious error. The next <br />higher bid was $33,800, which was used in the above calculation. <br />The construction of the building expansion was originally <br />funded from two sources: <br />Bond proceeds $280,000 <br />Pay- as- you-go funding 30,000 <br />Total $310,000 <br />The 1991 -92 CIP includes $30,000 of additional funds needed to <br />construct a septic system, dri'1l a new well and to add an emergency <br />generator. None of these were included in the original building <br />construction estimates, but are essential to the function of this <br />facility. <br />The current timetable projects completion of this project by <br />December, 1991. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Award bid to Trout & Riggs Construction Company, for a <br />total of $276,700. <br />..16 <br />h� <br />
