Allow a slight density bonus for developers who provide <br /> "AFFORDABLE HOUSING" . <br /> 2 . UPZONE to moderate density (2-3 houses per acre) an area <br /> within 1/2-mile of the three community foci. <br /> 3 . Local civic groups to look into the possibility of creating a <br /> HABITAT FOR HUMANITY group to help provide community housing. <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICES <br /> 1 . Construct PHASE II OF THE EFLAND SEWER PROJECT, to enable all <br /> Efland Citizens to acquire service. <br /> 2 . Join with other groups calling for TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE SERVICE <br /> within Orange County. <br /> 3 . Create a COMMUNITY CENTER COMMITTEE of local volunteers to <br /> study the use and mission of an Efland community center. <br /> 4. Ask the Economic Development Commission to assist in <br /> RECRUITING NEEDED PROFESSIONALS and community services . <br /> TRANSPORTATION <br /> 1 . Negotiate a PARK-AND-RIDE LOT easement near the I-85/40 <br /> interchange with Mt. Willing Road. <br /> 2 . Ask the County Recreation and Parks Department to assist local <br /> residents in developing an Efland OPEN SPACE/WALKWAYS PLAN. <br /> 3 . Encourage enforcement of the 45 MPH speed limit on US 70. <br /> 4 . Request higher priority on the Priority Paving Schedule for <br /> long-unpaved state roads in the Efland village. <br /> OPEN SPACE <br /> 1 . Identify an "EQUITABLE" method of PROTECTING SPECIAL PLACES of <br /> scenic, historic or natural significance in the community. <br /> 2 . Hold a COMMUNITY CLEAN-Up CAMPAIGN in the spring to help other <br /> neighbors clean unsightly areas . County to participate in <br /> cleaning sewer line construction debris along McGowan Creek. <br />
