<br /> THIS DEED, made this 4th day of December, 1987, by and between. LUCY D. STRICKLAND acting
<br /> 1" as Commissioner as hereinafter stated, Party of the First Part, and ROBERT S. AYERS and LUCIL E
<br /> 0. AYERS, husband and wife, and HAROLD M. HARRIS and REBECCA P. HARRIS, husband and wife, Par y
<br /> of the Second Part, all of Orange County, North Carolina, whose mailing address is: 8111 Old

<br /> THAT WHEREAS, in a certain Orange County special proceeding entitled STEWART vs. STEWAR ,
<br /> 86 SP 172, an order was made by said Court appointing said Party of the First Part Commissioner
<br /> to sell at public sale subject to the confirmation of the Court certain lard, a portion of
<br /> which is hereinafter described; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said Party of the First Part, acting as Commissioner as aforesaid, on the 14th
<br /> day of October, 1987, reported to said Court the sale of the land hereinafter described to the
<br /> Parties of the Second Part and others at the price of THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS
<br /> ($35,000.00), and recommended that said sale be confirmed by the Court; and
<br /> WHEREAS, said report remained open for at least ten (10) days and no advance bid was made
<br /> and no objection offered to said sale; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Court on the 27th day of October, 1987, entered an Order approving and
<br /> confirming said sale and directing said Party of the First Part as Commissioner to mak ,
<br /> execute, and deliver unto said Party of the Second Part and others a good and sufficient de d
<br /> " for said land upon the payment to her of the said purchase price; and
<br /> i
<br /> WHEREAS, said Party of the Second Part and the other successful bidders described in tie
<br /> said confirmation order have requested the said Commissioner to convey the said property to
<br /> them separately in separate parcels, one of which is described below, the purchase price of tie
<br /> parcel going to the Party of the Second Part being $17,500.00; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the purchase price has now been fully paid;
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, said Party of the First Part, acting as Commissioner as aforesaid, under
<br /> authority of said Order of Court and in consideration of the said purchase price, has bargained
<br /> and sold and by these presents does bargain, sell, and convey unto said Party of the Second
<br /> Part and his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in Chapel Hill
<br /> Township, Orange County, North Carolina, and more particularly described as follows.

<br /> Consisting of 7.30 acres more or less lying on the western side of the right-of-way of -
<br /> 40 and BEING all of 'Lot A according to the survey and plat entitled "PROPERTY OF TED BRYANT eT.
<br /> al" by George C. Love, Jr., R. L. S., dated December 1, 19879 and recorded in Plat Book ,
<br /> page 15 , Orange County Registry, to which plat reference is hereby made for a more

<br /> The parties intend that the tract described above be merged for Orange County land records
<br /> purposes with the adjoining parcel already owned by the Party of the Second Part.

<br /> belonging to him the said Party of the Second Part and his heirs and assigns in as full and
<br /> ample a manner as said Party, of the First Part as Commissioner as aforesaid is authorized and
<br /> empowered to convey the same.
<br /> When reference is made to any party, the singular shall include the plural, and the
<br /> masculine shall include the feminine or the neuter.
