LO ) <br /> ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT ^Y <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> To: Marvin Collins, AICP <br /> Planning Director <br /> Ted Abernathy <br /> Economic Development Director <br /> From: Dave Stancil, AICP <br /> Comprehensive Planner <br /> Date: January 8, 1991 <br /> Subject: Land Use Element Amendment LUP-1-911 <br /> Robert Ayers and Harold Harris <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> Please find attached a proposed amendment to the Land Use Element <br /> of the Orange County Comprehensive Plan, submitted by Robert Ayers <br /> and Harold Harris (LUP-1-91 ) . This amendment was received January <br /> 8, meeting the deadline for items going to the February 25, 1991 <br /> public hearing. <br /> As you know, the proposed amendment would create a Commercial <br /> Transition Activity Node (Ten-Year Transition) for 33 acres on the <br /> southeast quadrant of the 1-40 interchange with Old Chapel Hill- <br /> Hillsborough Drive (Old 86) . The property is further referenced as <br /> Lot 13B, Block B, of Hillsborough Township Tax Map 49 . <br /> In accordance with standard procedure, planning staff will review <br /> the application and notify the applicant of its status by January <br /> 14 . If found to be complete, agency comment will be solicited and <br /> the item will be listed for inclusion on the February 25 hearing <br /> notice (to be approved by the Commissioners on February 4) . <br /> Concurrently, staff will develop an evaluation of the proposed <br /> amendment with recommendation to be presented at the February 25 <br /> hearing. On February 8, property owners within 150 feet will be <br /> notified by mail, and a sign will be posted on the property. <br /> If a special meeting of our staffs is warranted in regard to this <br /> proposal, please let me know.
