The <br /> property is referenced as Lot 13B, Block B of <br /> Hillsborough Township Tax Map 49 . <br /> The property and surrounding areas are currently <br /> designated Rural Residential on the Land Use <br /> Element of the Plan. The proposed amendment would <br /> create a new free-standing Commercial Transition <br /> Activity Node and Ten Year Transition area on <br /> this site. The stated purpose of the request is <br /> to allow the applicants to make application for <br /> an office park. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Planning Department staff recommends that the <br /> applicants be permitted to withdraw their <br /> application pending completion of related work by <br /> the Planning Board/Economic Development <br /> Commission Work Group, the Hillsborough/Orange <br /> County Cooperative Planning efforts, and the <br /> County's ten-year update of the Land Use Element <br /> of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> If the applicants opt not to withdraw their <br /> request pending completion of the above, staff <br /> recommends denial of the proposed amendment. <br />
