a r <br /> � 5 ,,j <br /> destruction, material alteration, remodeling or removal; to <br /> restrain, correct or abate such violation; or to prevent any <br /> illegal act or conduct with respect to such a building, <br /> structure, site, area or object. Such remedies shall be in <br /> addition to any others authorized by Chapter 153A <br /> of the North Carolina General Statutes for violation of a <br /> county ordinance. <br /> Actions which may be taken to remedy a given situation <br /> are the same as set forth in G.S.16OA-400.11. <br /> Section 5.2 Conflict with other Laws <br /> Whenever this ordinance or any ordinance adopted <br /> pursuant to Part 3C of Article 19 of Chapter 160A of the <br /> North Carolina General Statutes requires a longer waiting <br /> period or imposes other higher standards with respect to a <br /> designated historic landmark or district than are established <br /> under any other statute, charter provision or regulation, the <br /> provisions of this ordinance shall apply. Whenever the <br /> provisions of any other statute, charter provisions, <br /> ordinance or regulation require a longer waiting period or <br /> impose other higher standards than are established in this <br /> ordinance, such statute, charter provision, ordinance or <br /> regulation shall govern. <br /> This provision essentially states that the more <br /> restrictive ordinance shall apply (G.8.16OA-400.10) . <br /> Adopted this day of 1991. <br />
