No other plan amendments are required as part of the study. <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> The proposed amendments to the Orange County Zoning Ordinance <br /> are as follows : <br /> 1 . Amend ARTICLE 4 . 3 PERMITTED USE TABLE by adding "Golf Driving <br /> and Practice Ranges" as a use permitted in the Agricultural- <br /> Residential (AR) and Rural Residential (R-1 ) zoning districts <br /> following the approval and issuance of a Class B Special Use <br /> Permit, and as a use by right in the Community Commercial (CC- <br /> 3) , General Commercial (GC-4) , and Industrial-1 ( I--1 ) zoning <br /> districts . . <br /> 2 . Amend ARTICLE 8 . 8 REGULATIONS GOVERNING INDIVIDUAL SPECIAL <br /> USES by adding a new Article 8 . 8 . 6 Golf Driving and Practice <br /> Ranges which sets forth specific site plan and development <br /> standards applicable to golf driving and practice ranges . <br /> EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS <br /> The proposed amendments to the Orange County Sedimentation & <br /> Erosion Control Ordinance will conform the ordinance with the N.C. <br /> Sedimentation Control Commission' s Model Ordinance. Specifically, <br /> these amendments : <br /> - Add definitions; <br /> Require increased protection for High Quality Waters; <br /> Allow enforcement action against forestry activity; <br /> - Allow consideration of an applicant' s past performance in <br /> granting erosion control plan approval; <br /> -- Increase the penalties for violations from $100 to $500 per <br /> day; and <br /> Incorporate other administrative changes . <br /> Amendments proposed by the Erosion Control Division include <br /> the following: <br /> - Addition of headings to the text, a table of -contents, and <br /> an index to improve readability; <br /> - Clarification of jurisdictional boundaries; <br /> - Addition of a basic control objective to insure that site <br /> designs are compatible with erosion control standards; <br /> - Clarification of the imposition of conditions of approval to <br /> erosion control plans; and <br /> Incorporate minor administrative changes . <br /> Sections 3-5, 7-10, 15, 17-19, 21-22, and 26 of the Ordinance <br /> will be affected by the proposed amendments . <br /> PROPOSED HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION ORDINANCE <br />
