<br /> ON PROPOSED REVISIONS TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN,
<br /> ZONING ORDINANCE, AND EROSION CONTROL ORDINANCE
<br /> AND ON A
<br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE TO CREATE AN HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION
<br /> FOR ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA
<br /> Pursuant to the requirements of the General Statutes of North
<br /> Carolina, Chapter 153A, Articles 6, 18, 240, 323, and 343, and
<br /> Chapter 1132, Article 60; and Article 20 , Sections 20 . 5 and 20 . 6 ,
<br /> and Articles 2 , 2 , 12 and 2 .2 . 13 of the Orange County Zoning
<br /> Ordinance; and Section VIII of the Orange County Subdivision
<br /> Regulations , notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be
<br /> held in the Superior Courtroom of the Orange County Courthouse
<br /> (New) , 106 East Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, North Carolina, on
<br /> Monday, February 25, 1991, at 7 : 30 p.m. for the purpose of giving
<br /> all interested citizens an opportunity to speak for or against the
<br /> following items :
<br /> ASSIGNMENT OF HOUSE & BUILDING NUMBERS
<br /> The postal service routes proposed for a change from existing
<br /> rural box numbers to a system of permanently assigned house and
<br /> building numbers are as follows :
<br /> 1. Rural Routes 2, 3 , 5, 6, and 7 - Mebane
<br /> Five (5) partial rural routes served by the Mebane Post Office
<br /> are to be considered. The routes extend along the Alamance
<br /> County-Orange County boundary, excluding an area in the
<br /> southwest portion of Orange County near the Haw River.
<br /> Descriptions of the routes are provided below.
<br /> Route 2, Mebane, encompasses an area south of US Highway 70
<br /> bordering the Alamance County line. Included are the northern
<br /> half of Buckhorn Road, the western half of West Ten Road, and
<br /> the western third of Mt. Willing Road. Also included, either
<br /> partially or in their entirety, are the following roads :
<br /> Redman, Mattress Factory, East Washington, South Frazier,
<br /> Oakwood, Rock Quarry, Ben Wilson, Bowman, Whitaker, Hebron
<br /> Church, Yarborough, Oak Grove Church, Mebane Oaks, Vernon,
<br /> Bradshaw Quarry, Teer, Morrow Mill, Lloydtown, and Saxapahaw.
