F <br />Approved March 4, 1991 <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FEBRUARY 19, 1991 <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular <br />session on Tuesday, February 19, 1991 at 7:30 p.m. at the Franklin <br />Street Post Office in District Courtroom in Chapel Hill, North <br />Carolina. <br />BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman hoses Carey, Jr., Vice - <br />Chair Stephen Halkiotis, Commissioners Alice M. Gordon, Verla C. <br />Insko and Don Willhoit. <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />STAFF PRESENT: County Manager John M. Link, Jr., Assistant <br />County Manager Albert Kittrell, Deputy Clerk to the Board Kathy <br />Baker, Recreation and Parks Director Mary Anne Black, Clerk to the <br />Board Beverly Blythe, Finance Director Ken Chavious, Planning <br />Director Marvin Collins, Personnel Director Elaine Holmes, <br />Purchasing Director Pam Jones, Public Works Director Wilbert <br />McAdoo, Department on Aging Director Jerry Passmore, Sheriff Lindy <br />Pendergrass, Land Records Manager Roscoe Reeve, Health Director Dan <br />Reimer, Planner David Stancil, Budget Analyst Donna Wagner, and EMS <br />Director Nick Waters. <br />I. BOARD COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Gordon reminded the Board members about the <br />lecture and discussion on Neo- traditional town. planning. She. <br />thanked the responsiveness of the County staff for their attendance <br />at the Groundwater Conference held today. <br />Commissioner Halkiotis commended those involved with the <br />tin can recycling at the County Jail. He asked for information <br />about the vender and how much money the County is being paid. With <br />regards to Carden's Mobile Home Park, the landscaping is now being <br />completed and the pipeline is in for the self- contained water <br />treatment plant. <br />II. COUNTY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />John Link introduced the County's new Budget Director <br />Sally Kost. <br />IIY. ADDITIONS OR CHANGES TO THE AGENDA <br />ADD under Appointments - "Triangle J. Emergency Medical <br />Council" <br />REPLACE agenda item V -J with the agenda abstract <br />distributed this evening. <br />
