21 <br />Since we Are the first property owners to make application for land <br />use change in this area, there is also a concern that past publicity <br />mentioning "mega - malls" and large residential areas within the <br />northeast quadrant may afffect this proposal. Since there has been no <br />prior application for land use change in the northern quadrants, we <br />can see no conflict or detriment to the county based solely on the <br />parcelrs juxtposition to Hillsborough or the other quadrants of this <br />interchange. <br />Finally, the continuation of agricultural use will limit the owners' <br />use of the property to alternatives which will not add to the county <br />tax base and will probably diminish the appearance of the half -mile of <br />interstate frontage. <br />We hope that the decision for this amendment will offer potential for <br />the growth of central Orange County, as well as providing a reasonable <br />use for the property owners. <br />
