7 <br />PROJECT OBJECTIVES: <br />It is the charge of the Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department to protect the citizens <br />of the district and their property as efficiently as possible. The Board of Directors, on <br />behalf of the community, feel this project which is intended to benefit more than two <br />thousand residents in the community will have a major impact on response time for <br />emergency personnel. As a farming community covering more than 3000 acres, the <br />time span between emergency and assistance is critical. Saving even a small amount of <br />time by communicating an emergency properly and pinpointing the location easily, can <br />save a life or possibly prevent a family from becoming homeless. <br />
